Monument National of Indonesia is the icon of Jakarta. Local people usually call this monument as Monas. The built of this monument was initiated by the first president of Indonesia, Soekarno. The top of the monument was plated by real gold.
On weekend Monas area is very crowded with visitors from many other regions in Indonesia. While in the morning the park was utilized by local people as jogging area.

All that glitters is Jakarta! Lol, its true…what with the gold plated top of the monument!! My family would love to see this and have a well-deserved break at a Jakarta hotel.
